XMRpool Monero Mining Pool
What is a Monero Mining Pool
Mining pools are groups of miners that work together to mine Monero. By pooling their resources, they can share the rewards more evenly, and increase their chances of finding a block.
When you join a mining pool, you will need to run special mining software that connects your miner to the pool. The software will also keep track of your shares, and give you a share of the rewards based on how much work you’ve done.
Why Join a Monero Mining Pool?
There are a few good reasons to join a mining pool:
- You will be more likely to find a block. solo mining can be very difficult and it may take a long time to find a block. By pooling your resources with other miners, you can increase your chances of finding a block.
- You will earn more rewards. When you solo mine, you only get the full block reward if you find a block yourself. Otherwise, you get nothing. When you join a pool, you will always earn a share of the rewards, even if you don’t find a block.
- You can choose your own pool fee. Most pools charge a small fee in order to cover their expenses and make a profit. But some pools let you choose your own fee, which can be as low as 0%.
